Take action by taking breaks!

I had to take lots of breaks from a lot of things – some for long periods of time. Recovery took a lot out of me – mentally, emotionally, and physically.

I didn’t necessarily like taking time off and I felt guilty a lot of the time, but it had to be done.It was a process to even get to a point where I could allow myself to prioritize my recovery though. I was so used to pushing beyond my limits.

As I began to grow in my recovery and develop a stronger relationship with myself though, I was finally able to make recovery my priority. And doing so helped me build some momentum…but it took time.

Be patient with yourself. It may take some time to get to a point where you can – or even want to – make recovery a priority. But it’s worth it! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Take action and take breaks! Lots of them! It’s okay!
